In this course students follow the Minecraft Education standard curriculum and build on the skills learned in Block1.
Students will learn about:

- Using loops and patterns with more confidence

- Creating smarter actions inside Minecraft
- Practicing debugging by finding and fixing mistakes
- Strengthening logical thinking and creativity through Minecraft missions

Your next coding mission is ready for launch!
In Coding Fundamentals — Block 2, students follow the official Minecraft Education Coding Fundamentals curriculum and travel through the solar system as new explorers at the Minecraft Space Center.
Students use block-based coding and the Minecraft Agent to collect materials, complete missions, solve puzzles, and develop more advanced programming skills.
Students will learn how to:
🤖 Program the Minecraft Agent to explore and complete missions
🔁 Use while loops to repeat actions until a condition changes
🤔 Use if / else conditionals to help programs make decisions
🔍 Use the Agent to detect and inspect blocks in its environment
⚖️ Use comparison operators to compare information
✅ Understand how true and false conditions affect what a program does
🧩 Combine loops, conditions, and Agent commands to solve larger problems
🐞 Find mistakes and debug code when a program doesn’t work correctly
🛠️ Test different solutions and improve inefficient code
🧠 Develop stronger computational thinking and independent problem-solving skills
🌌 Your Coding Mission Across Space
Students begin their training at the Minecraft Space Center before traveling to locations throughout the solar system.
Along the journey, coding challenges may take them to places such as:
🌙 Earth’s Moon
🪐 Mercury and Venus
🔴 Mars
🌌 Jupiter’s moon Ganymede
💫 Saturn’s Rings
🌀 Uranus
🔵 Neptune’s moon Triton
Each destination introduces a new problem that students must solve using code.
Instead of always being told exactly which blocks to use, students begin asking:
What condition should my program check?
When should this loop stop?
Why isn’t my Agent doing what I expected?
Can I create a better solution?
This is where coding begins to feel less like following instructions and more like solving real programming challenges.
By the end of Block 2, students will have strengthened their understanding of loops, conditionals, operators, Boolean logic, comparisons, testing, and debugging, preparing them for the more advanced coding concepts introduced in the next Minecraft Education Coding Fundamentals course.
